Meridies Northmannorum is a society based in Rome, that studies and re-enacts life in Southern Italy during the Norman domination of the eleventh and twelfth centuries. Through experiment and re-enactment activities (i.e. experimental archaeology and living history), we present an overview of those peoples' customs within the historical framework of events that surrounded them.

In other words, we aim at 'reviving' the battles, politics, spiritual life, and all other small details that characterised people's lives in local communities. Means of sustenance, making and using tools, clothes, weapons and ornaments are the essence of our activities and research.

In such way we'll try to dispel some of the clichés through which we have been taught and are still being shown life in the middle ages.
